Department of Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering was set up in 2011 to impart the knowledge of one of the basic branches of Engineering, i.e. Electrical Engineering. The Department is equipped with latest teaching tools and techniques, well planned laboratories to deliver the standards as per        University requirement. The Department runs the undergraduate programme to cater the      challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of Electrical Engineering such as       Automation & Distribution, Power electronics, Power System and Energy Management.                The major emphasis of the Department is to impart technical training to encourage                 curiosity and innovativeness among the students and lay a foundation from where they can acquire quick learning ability and adaptively with the fast changing needs of the industry.

The Department is located in an area of 1454.44  sq.mt. with 6 Classrooms, 10 Labs, Tutorial Room, Departmental Library & Seminar Hall. Network Analysis Lab, Electrical Measurement & Instrumentations Lab, Computer Lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Power Electronics Lab , Control System Engineering, Switch gear and protection Lab, High Voltage Engineering Lab , Electrical Technology lab and Project Lab. The Department has well-established laboratories with latest facilities. The Department is equipped with the latest experimental and computational facilities for the development of the students.

The Department has a tradition of giving good results in the RTM Nagpur University Examinations. The Department has a student forum EESTA which was formed in 2011and The Institution of Engineers (India), IE(I) which was formed in 2013. The faculty & students have presented research papers in National & International Conferences. The various events at Institutional, Group & National Level are organized by the department. The Technical Magazine Third edition INSPIRE brought out by the Department is a source of inspiration to the writing and presentation skills among the students.
